Marie-Chanel’s goal is to provide effective, evidence based, ethical and innovative treatment for her clients and families. She promotes effective staff training protocols for therapists working on the front line. Marie-Chanel persists for individualized treatment planning to enhance generalization and maintenance of skills to meet the long-term needs and goals of her clients and families.

Experience And Specialities

Marie-Chanel received her Bachelors of science in psychology at York University, then went onto Mohawk College to receive her Graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science. Presently she holds a Masters thesis at Brock University. Marie-Chanel has been in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis for 6 years and possesses a wide range of clinical experiences. She has provided and designed behavioural therapy to individuals aged 2 to 57 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injuries, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and dual diagnoses.

Marie-Chanel has worked across diverse settings including hospitals, privately and government owned treatment clinics, classrooms, in-home and daycares. Some of her expertise include functional communication programming, behaviour management, daily living programming, academic programming, program evaluation and staff training. Marie-Chanel has completed level 1 of the PECS official training and conducted various behaviour assessments. She has designed and implemented her own behaviour training sequence to teach effective implementation of behaviour analysis in intensive intervention settings.

Additionally, Marie-Chanel is actively involved in research around behaviour analytic tools and behavioural skills training. She is an ongoing member of The Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA) and Association for Behaviour Analysis International (ABAI). She attends and presents at various conferences locally and internationally.
