Pavan Bhardwaj’s passion for the field of Autism Therapy has grown to educate, inform and advocate for the learners and their families, in hopes to overcome challenges and celebrate daily successes while supporting them through their individual journey.
Pavan Bhardwaj has been with The Papillon Learning Centre since 2015. Her passion for the field of ABA began with completing her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Ryerson University and then earning her post-graduate certification in Autism & Behavioural Science from George Brown College.
Pavan’s education and her understanding of child development through work experience at a daycare and volunteering at SickKids Hospital have set the foundation for understanding the key principles of ABA in order to support individuals with autism.
Pavan has experience working with families in their home environment through parent coaching, teaching life skills and strengthening communication skills by implementing tools such as PECS and Proloquo.
Taking inspiration from her daily interactions with children with autism, Pavan travelled to Nairobi, Kenya through the Global Autism Project to volunteer her time and share her knowledge of ABA practices with a local autism centre. This trip helped her gain a new perspective on the importance of evidence-based practices and early-interventions.
