Carina Hetherton is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Registered Behavior Analyst (Ont.) with 10 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She specializes in working with children aged 3–17, focusing on establishing learner readiness, communication, regulation, and executive functioning skills.
Carina holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and is currently completing a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working towards bridging the gaps in mental health services for neurodiverse individuals and enjoys integrating cognitive work and building flexibility within clinical programming. With previous experience overseeing the Entry to School program in other districts, Carina enjoys early intervention services and collaborating with families new into their autism journey. Carina believes in establishing solid foundational skills through the power of play and teaching children how to learn across the lifespan. When not engaged in academic pursuits, Carina is an amateur bird-watcher who enjoys spending time in nature while in pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee.
