Harvi holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from India and has completed the Critical Thinking, Reasoning and Application in Canadian Occupational Therapy course through the University of Alberta. Her clinical experience spans pediatrics, neurology, MVA rehabilitation, developmental concerns, and school and daycare settings.
She works with children on sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, play skills, social participation, and everyday activities, using play-based, functional, and strength-based approaches connected to the child’s daily routines. She involves families in setting goals rather than applying a one-size-fits-all plan, and considers each family’s culture, values, and available resources. She also collaborates with caregivers, educators, and other professionals so strategies stay consistent across environments.
Harvi speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi. Outside of work, she enjoys organizing, watching television, and spending time in spirituality and personal reflection.
